I'm *gradually* remaking 7 dolls (very pretty porcelain heads and limbs, but the bodies and clothes were ruined). They all have new bodies (made of soft leather, instead of the flimsy cloth they originally had). Last night I finished the last piece of clothing for the first doll. This doll has a wind-up music box that plays 'Feelings'. If anyone is interested in having her, let me know. All I want for her is postage/any associated costs of mailing (neither the body nor the clothing are perfect, but I think she's nice.)

Close-up of her hat, which is totally not Victorian, but eh, I think it sorta goes with the dress & shoes which are also not remotely accurately Victorian, made up as I went along.

:D she is beautiful!
She looks most complete with everything matching from top to toe. The lace and brooch are lovely and the hat so elegant. What a lovely project. I hope she finds a good home with someone who will love her :)

Portrait.

So I'm off to a good start keeping up with the art. I'm going to concentrate on improving my portraits for a while - and that will mean lots of Ewan and Liam.
First one is Ewan, I chose something that didn't require a lot of detail in the face - trying to concentrate on getting shape and form without overdoing the shading. The body looks ok but I think it's a bit short, but I am fairly pleased with his face. I sketched and then coloured with watercolours.
