It's Monday again, and unlike the last two weeks I've actually finished some art!

Have you finished anything? If so, post it here!

I think I did do some art in the last 2 weeks... oh, yes, definitely. I shall post later. I'm meant to be mowing artistically now because the weeds are beginning to knock at the front door and try to sell me subscriptions to Better Weeds and Gardens magazine.

I just finished the mowing *whew*... The only artistry in it is that I left a circular patch of daisy-like weeds for the bees and butterflies. :^) Shall now go check my photos for the last 2 weeks.

Well, if you took an artistic photo of it, I'm sure it'd count :)

Re: Red Squirrel and Chibi Dalek Sec

AHHHH! That squirrel is gorgeous! Your grandmother must have loved it!

The dalek is wonderful, too. I hope you save an uncolored version for a coloring book page. :^)

Re: Red Squirrel and Chibi Dalek Sec

Sorry, I had to delete the previous comment because I linked to the wrong place...

Thank you very much, glad you like them both :)

My grandma was delighted and yep the line art's in my Doctor Who colouring book!

Red Squirrel and Chibi Dalek Sec

This week I completed two pieces of art:

Red Squirrel in digital airbrush Chibi Dalek Sec line art

The Red Squirrel on the left was drawn for my grandmother's birthday card. I worked entirely in digital airbrush and spent about seven hours in total. The open 'super-deformed' Chibi Dalek Sec on the right is the line art for a piece I'm still to colour and took about eight hours so far.

Re: Red Squirrel and Chibi Dalek Sec

From the thumbnail I thought the squirrel was a photo. So I looked at the larger version and it's a detailed (de-tailed would be Squirrel Nutkin) drawing. That's lovely.

Re: Red Squirrel and Chibi Dalek Sec

Glad you like it, and I'm pleased it looks photo realistic at thumbnail size, but more painterly at full size :)

Re: Red Squirrel and Chibi Dalek Sec

Thanks, yes it's amazing to me what practice has done from my first attempts with the tablet PC...

Glad you like the squirrel :)

Re: Red Squirrel and Chibi Dalek Sec

Your squirrel is absolutely amazing! Your airbrushing skills have really come a long way - but then, you've put a lot of time and effort in to get this far!

Hope this works- I hadn't done any thumbnail linking in a long time.

Beartlefly-sketched on scrapbookers paper, then colored in photoshop elements.

A feather from the Great Bird of the Galaxy- photographed floating in my murky green pool, then filtered & blend-moded,etc. in photoshop elements.

A friend emailed me the 10 Best Hubble space photos (as rated by astronauts)- I played with one of them.
The unicorn and the phoenix... (I used only the 'burn' tool and only to darken lines that were already there. The phoenix is less distinct, mainly it's the beak and head off to the foreground right.)

Here's the original photo

Today's mowing- weed patch left for the bees & butterflies."></a>

Then I photoshopped it.

Closeup of photoshop (I love pointillism)

Sorry for all the goof-ups- I messed up the coding six ways from the middle.

Oh the Beartlefly is great! I also like the photoshopped photos, especially what you did to the Hubble pictures :)

Thanks! One day I mean to make some actual beartleflys. I love strange teddy bears. :^)

The Hubble unicorn just leapt out at me and demanded to be recognized. :^)

Um. I've been concentratingon nanowrimo lately, but I did this... this week, I think. Or last.

I also did some more clay sculpts. I don't think I posted my Trek or these B7 ones yet:

(More pictures for the clay sculpts available on claycreations)

And if I already did post them, I apologize for the repost. :)

I complemented these when I saw them on dA, but they still look great, I love your chibi sculpts and the fantasy/sci-fi landscape is fantastic.

Good luck completing nanowrimo!
